Google LLC is augmenting its artificial intelligence capabilities, revealing enhancements to two of its flagship products, Chrome Browser and Google Ads. These updates are designed to streamline user interactions in web browsing and digital advertising.

Users will experience significant AI improvements in Google Chrome, featuring three new generative AI capabilities. These empower users to organize tabs efficiently, personalize themes, and receive assistance with web writing.

Introducing the Tab Organizer, a new feature in Chrome that automatically suggests and forms tab groups based on open tabs. This proves particularly beneficial for multitasking, assisting users in managing tasks like trip planning, research, and shopping simultaneously.

To utilize this feature, users can right-click on a tab and choose “Organize Similar Tabs” or click the drop-down arrow located to the left of their tabs. Chrome will suggest names and emojis for the newly created groups, ensuring users can effortlessly locate them when needed.

The second innovative feature empowers users to craft their personalized Chrome themes using AI. This feature enables users to design custom themes by selecting a subject, mood, visual style, and color, employing AI to assist in the design process.

The last addition to Chrome is an AI feature designed to assist users in “writing with more confidence on the web.” As expected in Chrome’s upcoming release, this feature will empower users to right-click on a text box or field on any website and choose “Help me write” for enhanced writing assistance.

In addition to the AI features in Chrome, Google Ads has also received enhancements. Some users can now access Google’s Gemini AI model, enhancing their overall experience.

This integration will facilitate a more intuitive and effective ad creation process. Gemini’s conversational AI capabilities enable advertisers to generate relevant and compelling ad content by simply inputting their website URLs. The conversational AI experience also provides suggestions for campaign images, tailoring them based on images from the landing page and utilizing AI.

All AI-generated images will be identified as such. Google employs SynthID to invisibly watermark AI-generated images, and the images will include metadata indicating that AI created them.

Beta access to the Gemini experience in Google Ads is open to English-language advertisers in the U.S. and U.K., with a global rollout to all English-language advertisers expected in the coming weeks. Plans include expanding access to additional languages in the coming months.
