The feature will début as part of a larger array of AI-powered features that, according to the company, will streamline the entire process of designing, developing, and managing websites for businesses. The move represents yet another application of generative AI, where the evolving new technology is remodeling enterprise workflows and enabling teams to concentrate on what truly matters: business expansion.
Avishai Abrahami, Co-founder and CEO of Wix, said in a press statement, “These new tools leverage the strength and dedication of our data science team, who have been leaders in integrating the power of AI and delivering it directly to Wix users. We’re on the edge of something truly amazing, and we will keep advancing our offerings as AI technology progresses to enable users to grow their businesses and have success with more efficiency and creativity than ever before.”
Abrahami has not publicly announced when the tools will be available, and the promotional video merely states, “coming soon.”
What role will generative AI play in the creation of websites?
Wix has utilized AI for website generation for some time; however, the new site generator takes things to the next level by integrating natural language prompts.
Users need to only interact with the Wix AI chatbot and describe their intended website’s purpose. The bot poses a few questions to determine the desired intent and generates the entire website almost immediately, including the homepage and all inner pages with text and images.
Abrahami said, “What makes it groundbreaking is that it is not a template. In fact, it’s a unique website designed and tailor-made for you, according to your needs, generated with AI and advanced algorithms. The design and layout are completely fitted to the site’s content.”

In that case, they can always instruct Wix AI to modify specific elements, such as the theme, layout, and images, to meet their requirements.
For instance, developers can request that Wix make images more professional or tidy up the website. They can also combine the website with Wix business applications like Stores, Bookings, Restaurants, and Events.
Increased AI capabilities to enhance website creation
In addition to constructing websites from inception, Wix intends to use artificial intelligence to enhance websites already published online.
With the new AI-driven page and section construction capabilities, users can simply add a page or section by launching Wix AI and describing what they want.
Wix AI will produce numerous layouts, designs, and text alternatives for the user to pick from after it receives information about the sort of page/section and the content it should include. Wix also adds an Object Eraser, allowing users to extract and manipulate image subjects.
Wix AI will also serve as an assistant to help businesses derive the most value from their websites, making recommendations such as site enhancements and strategies based on personalized analytics and site trends.
